Teleflex Xtreme Back Mount Rack Steering Cable

The Teleflex Xtreme Back Mount Rack Steering Cable is a premium replacement rack and pinion steering cable for boats. It is also sold under the SeaStar name and is sometimes called the TFXtreme rack cable. It connects a back-mount rack helm to the engine or outboard, so the helm can turn the engine accurately and smoothly.

Key Features:

• Xtreme technology: Lower backlash than standard rack steering cables such as the SSC134 series. More of your steering effort goes into turning the boat.
• Heavy-duty construction: A heavy outer jacket surrounds a splined, coated core element. The design keeps lost motion to a minimum and gives smooth steering feel.
• Durable casing: The black HDPE outer casing is made to resist UV exposure and chemicals.
• Compatible helms: Works with back-mount rack helm units, including the SH5210P HPS and standard back-mount rack helms. It also works with the SH5230P NFB rack helm and the SH91610P and SH91630P rack tilt helms.
• Replacement use: Can be used in place of standard SSC134 and SSC154 series rack cables.
• Cable only: Sold as the steering cable, not a complete steering system.

Choosing the Right Length: Cables come in a range of lengths. To replace an existing cable, find the part number stamped on the plastic jacket of the original cable. The last two digits give the length in feet. Order the same length.

Whether you are restoring the steering on a ski or wakeboard boat or replacing a worn cable on another rack-steered boat, the Xtreme cable gives a firm, responsive feel at the helm.
