Teleflex Cable-Xtreme Steering Cable

The Teleflex Cable-Xtreme Steering Cable (also called a Teleflex Xtreme mechanical steering cable or SeaStar Xtreme rack and pinion boat steering cable) is a marine steering cable for outboard-powered boats. Its design aims to reduce steering effort and lost motion, so the helm feels smooth and precise.

Key Features:

• Splined core design that cuts lost motion, including on long or complex cable runs
• Lower steering effort than standard cables, especially on longer runs
• Rack and pinion mechanical steering design
• Built for use with matching Teleflex/SeaStar Xtreme helms, including no-feedback (NFB) clutch models, which help keep engine torque from reaching the wheel
• Stainless steel output shaft that connects to the engine link arm
• American-built by SeaStar Solutions, a Dometic brand

Installation Notes: Route the cable with as few bends as possible and keep the bends large and gradual. Sharp or frequent bends make steering stiffer and wear the cable faster. Support the cable at regular intervals. Check the helm and cable series for compatibility before ordering. Match the cable length to your boat's rigging.

The Cable-Xtreme line is a dependable, smooth-feeling steering upgrade for boaters who want better control at the helm. It suits both new installations and replacement of older Teleflex cables.
