Shields Hose Shieldsflex II Series Marine Wet Exhaust Nylon Pipe & Hose Fittings

Shields Hose Shieldsflex II is a wire-reinforced marine water and wet exhaust hose, also called exhaust hose or water/exhaust hose. It is built for engine raw-water intakes and wet exhaust connections that need long runs or significant bends. It is also used on many other below-waterline and sanitation lines on boats.

Key Features:

• Durable construction: black synthetic rubber tube and cover, with a wire helix embedded between plies of heavy-duty synthetic cord
• Wall-collapse resistance: the wire helix helps the hose hold its shape under pressure and through bends
• Chemical and environmental resistance: resists exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze, saltwater and abrasion
• Odor permeation resistance: helps isolate engine exhaust and holding-tank odors
• Ozone resistance: double the ozone resistance required by SAE J2006
• Temperature range: -20°F to 200°F continuous, with intermittent exposure up to 250°F
• Standards: meets SAE J2006 Type R2

Typical Applications:

• Engine water intake
• Wet exhaust connections
• Bilge pump intake and discharge
• Scupper lines
• Marine toilet intake and discharge
• Holding tank vent and pump-out lines

Shieldsflex II is a versatile choice for boat owners and marine technicians who want one flexible, reliable hose for many water and exhaust plumbing jobs.
