Camp Zinc Mercury Outboard Trim Tab Anode

Camp Zinc Mercury outboard trim tab anodes are sacrificial zinc anodes. They protect the trim tab and surrounding underwater metal on Mercury and Mariner outboards and compatible outdrives from galvanic corrosion. Each anode corrodes in place of the metal parts around it, so these trim tab anodes (also called skeg anodes or trim tab zincs) are an inexpensive part of routine outboard maintenance.

Key Features:

• Zinc construction: Made for saltwater and brackish-water protection, and built to conform to the Mil-A-18001 zinc anode standard.
• Made by Camp Company: Camp makes marine anodes for recreational, commercial and military vessels, with products for hulls, propeller shafts, rudders, trim tabs, outboards, stern drives and inboard cooling systems.
• Designed for Mercury outboards: The product line has styles for different Mercury and Mariner outboard families, including standard, flat and extra-clearance trim tab designs.
• Simple installation: A trim tab anode bolts on in place of the old one. Mounting hardware is generally not included.

Installation and Maintenance Notes: After you install a new trim tab anode, check propeller clearance before you start the engine. Inspect anodes often. An anode that is badly eroded, or that sits in an area with cavitation, wears out faster and needs earlier replacement to keep protecting the engine.

Replace a worn trim tab anode on time. This helps prevent corrosion damage to the trim tab, the gearcase and other underwater components.
