Camp Zinc Pencil Anode NPT for Caterpillar Engines Anodes/Zincs

Camp Zinc pencil anodes, also called engine zincs or pencil zincs, are sacrificial anodes that protect marine engines from galvanic corrosion. They are threaded NPT plug-style anodes designed for Caterpillar marine engines. The zinc corrodes in place of the engine's metal parts, such as the heat exchanger, coolers and raw water passages.

Maintenance Tip: Inspect engine zincs regularly and replace them once about two-thirds of the zinc has eroded, or at least once per season. Replacing them on schedule keeps the anode protecting the engine.
