Shakespeare Antennas QuickConnect VHF Marine Antenna

The Shakespeare QuickConnect VHF marine antenna line is a series of entry-level VHF boat antennas with a screw-on, screw-off connection. The design comes from the quick-connect feature of Shakespeare's high-end Phase III marine antennas. You can connect or disconnect the antenna without tools. That makes installation, storage and removal easy.

Key Features:

• QuickConnect system: The coax cable attaches to the mount, not the antenna. Screw the antenna on or off to connect or disconnect it, with no wires to cut, solder or thread.
• Quiet, stable connection: The connection is built to avoid noise caused by vibration.
• Splash protection cap: It protects the connector on the mount when the antenna is removed.
• PL-259 connector: The Centerpin PL-259 is an easy crimp-on type.
• Standard mount design: You can move up to a higher-end Shakespeare antenna later without buying a new mount.
• Single-section VHF antennas: They are designed for the VHF marine band, with a 50-watt maximum input power.

These antennas suit boats in rack storage or under low covered moorage. They also make boat covers, shrink-wrapping and trailering easier, and you can stow the antenna below deck when you leave the boat. QuickConnect antennas work only with QuickConnect mounts, which are sold separately.
