Keel Guard KeelGuard Protector Gray

The Keel Guard KeelGuard is a self-adhesive boat keel protector (also called a keel shield or hull guard). It shields the vulnerable leading edge and bottom of your hull from abrasion and impact damage. It is sold as the original patented keel guard and is a do-it-yourself installation.

Key Features:

• Abrasion-resistant, shock-absorbing polymer construction that is tough but pliable enough to conform to the shape of the keel
• Helps protect against abrasive sand, rocks, concrete ramps and oyster beds
• Pre-applied 3M pressure-sensitive adhesive for a permanent bond to the hull
• Contoured edges create a clean, tight seal without messy sealants
• Patented drag-reduction design with angled grooves that does not slow the boat down
• UV-stabilized color for long-lasting appearance
• Made in the USA

Damage to the keel can break down the gelcoat finish and let water reach the fiberglass laminates. A keel protector helps you avoid costly fiberglass repairs. It also helps maintain the appearance and value of your boat.

Installation Tip: For best results, install at an ambient temperature of 60°F or above. Prepare the keel surface before applying the protector.
