Chicago Brand Heavy Duty Wire Rope Thimble Thimbles

Chicago Brand Heavy Duty Wire Rope Thimbles (also called cable thimbles or rope thimbles) form and protect the eye at the end of a wire rope. A thimble sits inside the loop and keeps the rope from being crushed, pinched or sharply bent. That reduces wear and extends the life of rope terminations in rigging, lifting, towing, and load securement assemblies.

Key Features:

• Heavy duty steel construction that is heavier than standard duty thimbles, for demanding loads and repeated use
• Designed to hold the wire rope eye in shape and prevent deformation, kinking and abrasion at the termination
• Smooth, grooved rope channel that seats the rope securely
• Corrosion-resistant coating for durability in outdoor and rugged environments
• Works with wire rope clips, clamps and swaged or pressed sleeves to build secure eye terminations

Chicago Brand products come from Chicago Hardware, a supplier of rigging and hardware since 1912. These thimbles are a dependable choice for contractors, riggers, farm and ranch users, and general industrial applications that need a durable wire rope eye termination.
