The B&S Anodes Pencil Zinc Anode Complete with Plug is a sacrificial zinc pencil anode (also called a pencil zinc, engine zinc or heat exchanger anode) for marine engines and cooling systems. Each one is supplied as a complete assembly, with the zinc anode and a matching threaded plug. The zinc corrodes in place of the metal parts around it, so it helps guard against galvanic corrosion and electrolysis in raw-water-cooled engines, heat exchangers and coolers.
