Caldwell Casting/Performance Metals Streamlined Aluminum Shaft Anode Anodes/Zincs

The Performance Metals Streamlined Aluminum Shaft Anode is a two-piece aluminum shaft zinc alternative that protects propeller shafts from galvanic corrosion. It is a sacrificial anode, and it corrodes in place of your boat's underwater metals. Boaters also call it a shaft anode, shaft zinc, or sacrificial anode.

Key Features:

• Navalloy aluminum construction: Made to military specification MIL-DTL 24779 and suitable for salt, brackish, and fresh water.
• Two-half clamp-on design: The halves fit around the shaft, and the streamlined profile helps limit drag and turbulence.
• Stainless steel hardware: Corrosion-resistant fasteners secure the anode to the shaft.
• Easy assembly: Nuts are pressed into the casting. Plastic retaining washers capture the bolts so they are less likely to be dropped during installation.
• Red spot wear indicator: The patented indicator shows when the anode is wearing out and needs replacement.
• Made in the USA by Performance Metals, a division of Caldwell Casting.

Check your anodes regularly and replace them once they are significantly eroded. This keeps shafts, props, and other underwater hardware protected through the boating season.
