Pyi Inc Hose Clamp Jacket EPDM Rubber Pack

The PYI Inc Clamp Jacket is an EPDM rubber hose clamp cover, also called a hose clamp protector or tail cover. It slips over the exposed tail of a worm gear hose clamp. It protects hands from cuts and scrapes, and it protects nearby hoses, wiring and surfaces from abrasion. It also gives the finished installation a clean look.

Key Features:

• Durable EPDM rubber construction: resists weathering, brake fluids, acids, alkalies, ketones, oils, greases and water.
• Wide temperature range: rated from -65°F to +300°F, with steam resistance up to 400°F.
• Self-aligning lip: an extended lip guides the jacket over the clamp tail for quick installation.
• Non-slip inside notches: they grip the clamp for secure hold, and the jacket is easy to put on or take off.
• Material specs: 70 +/- 5 Shore A durometer and 14.3 MPa tensile strength.

Clamp Jackets suit marine, automotive, industrial, military and household projects. PYI reports that the US Coast Guard uses them. They are an inexpensive way to prevent common hose clamp injuries and to finish a job neatly.
