Keel Guard KeelGuard Protector Black Keel & Pontoon Protectors

Keel Guard KeelGuard keel and pontoon protectors shield your boat's hull from the abrasion that sand, rocks, oyster beds and concrete ramps cause. Wear on the keel can break down the gelcoat finish. That lets water reach the fiberglass laminates underneath. A keel guard (also called a keel protector or keel strip) adds a tough, replaceable buffer where the hull takes the most contact.

Key Features:

• Abrasion-resistant blend of polymers and urethanes that stays durable yet pliable enough to follow hull contours
• Pressure-sensitive 3M adhesive bonds and seals the contoured edges to the hull surface
• Angled grooves form hydrodynamic channels that create air pockets and a slicker surface
• Do-it-yourself peel-and-stick installation, with no special tools needed
• Helps prevent costly hull repairs and helps maintain your boat's value

KeelGuard is a patented design that was developed with boat designers and 3M engineers. It suits boats with a smooth hull surface. If your boat has a raised or reinforced center keel, the keel should not rise more than 1/4 inch. Choose the child item that matches your application.
