Sea-Dog Line Locking Asymmetrical Snap Hook with Eye Insert Stainless Steel

The Sea-Dog Line Locking Asymmetrical Snap Hook with Eye Insert is a stainless steel marine snap hook. It gives you a secure, quick-connect attachment point on lines. Typical uses include safety harness tethers, fishing lines, mooring buoy lines and general rigging. You may also see it called a locking eye snap, an asymmetric snap hook or a stainless eye snap.

Key Features:

• Asymmetrical design: The hook puts more of the load on the stronger, non-gate side. This increases breaking strength compared with traditional rounded snap hooks.
• Offset body: The shape gives greater gate clearance and a larger passage area into the snap.
• Automatic locking gate: The barrel locking cylinder locks when released. This greatly reduces the chance of accidental opening and reduces wear on the rope.
• Eye insert: The insert gives a secure attachment to lines.
• Corrosion-resistant construction: Formed from 316 stainless steel for marine use.

Sea-Dog Line makes heavy-duty marine-grade hardware. This snap hook is a dependable, corrosion-resistant choice for boat owners and riggers. It is available in several sizes and strength ratings.
