Sea-Dog Line NMEA Backbone Cable Meter

The Sea-Dog Line NMEA 2000 backbone cable is the main trunk of a marine NMEA 2000 data network. It connects T-connectors along the length of the vessel. GPS and chartplotters, depth sounders, wind instruments, engine gateways and other NMEA 2000 electronics can then share data and power over one cable. Several lengths are available, so you can match the cable to your boat's layout.

Key Features:

• Backbone cable for building or extending a marine NMEA 2000 network
• Links NMEA 2000 T-connectors, power connections and terminators in a standard linear backbone layout
• Works with compatible NMEA 2000 drop cables, T-connectors and other network components
• Offered in a range of lengths for small boats and larger vessels
• Marine-grade construction from Sea-Dog Line, a long-time supplier of marine hardware and electrical accessories

Installation Tips: Route the cable away from heat sources and pinch points, and avoid sharp bends. A complete NMEA 2000 network needs a terminator at each end of the backbone and a power connection. Use a power isolator if you add a second power source.

This cable makes it easy to build a reliable, expandable NMEA 2000 network for modern marine electronics.
