Attwood Marine stainless steel gas springs, also called gas struts or lift supports, give smooth, controlled support for boat hatches, lids, livewells, line lockers, deck compartments and access panels. They are built for wet, salt-exposed marine environments, where ordinary steel springs corrode.
Key Features:
- Corrosion-resistant construction: The stainless steel shell and rod resist rust and corrosion in damp and saltwater conditions.
- Composite end fittings: Corrosion-proof, high-strength composite end fittings give secure mounting with socket-style ends.
- Controlled operation: Gas pressure lifts a hatch or lid and holds it open, then lets it close smoothly.
- Range of options: The line is offered in a variety of lengths, strokes and force ratings. This lets you match a replacement to the original spring or to your application.
Applications: These springs suit boats, docks, RVs and other wet-environment uses. Typical uses include hatches, storage lockers, livewells and covers.
Attwood is a long-established name in marine hardware. When you replace a gas spring, match the extended length, compressed length, force rating and end fitting style to the original unit so the hatch opens through the right range and closes without binding.
