Seastar Solutions Safe-T QC Rotary Steering Cable Foot

The Seastar Solutions Safe-T QC rotary steering cable (also called a quick-connect mechanical boat steering cable) is a replacement cable for Teleflex and SeaStar rotary steering systems. It is part of the SSC62 cable series. It connects the helm to the engine, so the boat responds smoothly and predictably to the wheel.

Key Features:

• Quick-connect design that needs no special tools at the helm connection
• Stainless steel output ends that resist corrosion in saltwater
• Tightly controlled core-to-conduit fit for responsive, low-friction steering
• Durable HDPE outer jacket that resists abrasion and keeps water out
• Replaces SSC62 cables used in Safe-T QC and NFB systems
• Replaces SSC72 cables used in Safe-T "TS" and Big-T systems (the SA27620P adapter is required for SSC72 applications)
• Built to meet ABYC safety standards and NMMA certification requirements

To match a replacement, check the part number printed on the existing cable jacket. If the old cable has no printed number, measure the length from the helm connector to the end of the stainless shaft. Pick the child item that matches that length. Cables for threaded-spigot helms are a different series (SSC61) and are not covered by this line.

Seastar Solutions, now part of Dometic, is a long-established name in marine steering and control. Safe-T QC cables are a dependable choice for boat repairs, repowers and upgrades.
