Martyr Anodes Streamlined Shaft Zinc Anode with Stainless Steel Slotted Hardware Anodes/Zincs

Martyr Streamlined Shaft Zinc Anodes with stainless steel slotted hardware are sacrificial shaft anodes (also called shaft zincs) that protect your boat's propeller shaft and underwater metals from galvanic corrosion. The zinc alloy is made for saltwater use. It corrodes in place of your valuable metal components, which helps prevent pitting, metal loss and costly repairs.

Key Features:

• Zinc alloy construction for sacrificial corrosion protection in saltwater
• Mil-spec alloy: made to meet the MIL-A-18001 standard for sacrificial anodes
• Streamlined profile with a circular radius, which helps limit drag on the shaft
• Interlocking halves that fit snugly around the shaft
• Stainless steel slotted-head machine screw hardware to secure the anode
• Extra alloy around the fasteners to help the anode stay on the shaft as it erodes

Martyr anodes are designed to erode inward, which gives them a sandblasted appearance as they work. Replace the anode once it has eroded about 70%, so your shaft keeps its protection. Choose the size that matches your shaft.
