Martyr Anodes Yamaha Skeg Anode Zinc Anodes/Zincs

The Martyr Anodes Yamaha skeg anode line gives Yamaha outboard lower units sacrificial corrosion protection. Each zinc skeg anode (also called a skeg zinc or outboard sacrificial anode) bolts onto the skeg. It corrodes in place of the metal parts around it, which helps protect the lower unit from galvanic corrosion.

Key Features:

• Zinc alloy construction: Zinc is the right choice for saltwater use. It is not recommended for fresh water.
• Pressure die-cast: Martyr anodes are pressure die-cast from a specialized alloy based on the US Mil Spec. This gives consistent quality and a long service life.
• Quality-controlled manufacturing: Martyr anodes are made under an ISO 9001 Quality Management System and tested in the company's own laboratory.
• Bolt-on installation: The anode mounts with a threaded fastener, so you can replace it as part of regular seasonal maintenance.
• Multiple configurations: The line covers different Yamaha outboard skeg designs, including standard and counter-rotation applications.

Inspect your skeg anode regularly and replace it once it is substantially consumed. Always check propeller clearance after installing a new anode. Martyr is a well-known name in marine sacrificial anodes, and this line is a dependable way to protect your outboard's lower unit.
