Brass Fittings Stainless Steel Close Nipple NPT Pipe Fitting

This stainless steel close nipple is an NPT pipe fitting for connecting two female-threaded pipe ports or fittings. It is made from 316 stainless steel, so it suits plumbing, fluid transfer and general piping jobs that need corrosion resistance. Close nipples are also called threaded pipe nipples or NPT nipples.

Key Features:

• 316 stainless steel construction resists rust and corrosion, including in wet and marine environments
• Close nipple design has male threads along nearly its whole length, so connected fittings sit close together
• NPT (National Pipe Taper) threads seal well with thread sealant or PTFE tape
• Works with common NPT pipe fittings such as couplings, elbows, tees and valves
• Suits water, air, fuel and many other fluid applications, depending on your system's pressure and chemical compatibility

It fits compact plumbing layouts where little space is available between components. Tighten it with a pipe wrench and use a suitable thread sealant on the tapered threads for a leak-resistant joint.
