Ideal Series Stainless Steel Hose Clamp

Ideal Series stainless steel hose clamps are worm gear (worm drive) clamps from Ideal Clamp Products, a U.S. clamp manufacturer in business since 1923. They secure hoses to fittings, barbs and nipples with even sealing pressure. They suit automotive, marine, home, garden and utility jobs.

Key Features:

• Stainless steel band resists scaling, rust and corrosion in damp, outdoor and underbody conditions
• Worm gear mechanism allows smooth, precise adjustment of clamp diameter
• Slotted band design spreads clamping force evenly around the hose
• Hex-head screw can be driven with a nut driver, socket or flat-blade screwdriver
• Wide band gives a secure sealing area on the hose
• Made in the USA with consistent quality control

Common Applications: Coolant, heater, fuel and vacuum hoses, water and irrigation lines, pool and plumbing connections, appliance hoses, and dust collection. For underwater or below-waterline use, two clamps per hose end are generally recommended.

Installation tip: Place the clamp about 1/4 inch back from the cut end of the hose. Tighten until the hose surface just deforms slightly under the band. Over-tightening can cut soft hose.
