Beckson Marine Screw-Out Deck Plate with Diamond Center

The Beckson Marine Screw-Out Deck Plate with Diamond Center is a watertight deck plate, also called an inspection port or access hatch. It gives tool-free access to storage areas, tanks, and compartments on boats. The removable center plate has a diamond-texture, non-skid surface.

Key Features:

• Tool-free access: The plate opens and closes by hand, with no tools needed.
• Non-jamming thread: An extra-strong, single-start buttress thread resists cross-threading and cleans itself.
• Watertight seal: A self-aligning center and a gasket seal the plate against water.
• Back-up sealing wall: A structural sealing wall keeps the plate water resistant even if the gasket is removed.
• Diamond-texture center: A pattern of small diamond shapes gives the cover a non-skid surface.
• Marine-grade construction: It is molded from high-quality marine-grade plastic.

Screw-out plates suit compartments where temperature changes or oil canning can change the air pressure. Typical uses include storage access, inspection, and clean-out of tanks and compartments. They also give access to shut-off valves and back-fastenings. Beckson designed its deck plates around three goals: a cover that won't open unexpectedly, maximum water tightness, and no jamming or cross-threading.
