KeelShield Foot Keel Guard Protector

The KeelShield keel guard protector (also called a boat keel protector or hull keel shield) is a self-adhesive urethane strip. It protects the keel, the centerline along the bottom of your boat's hull. The keel is usually the first part of the boat to hit concrete ramps, docks, sandbars and rocky shores. KeelShield is made to take that contact so your hull doesn't.

Key Features:

• Made from durable urethane polymers for abrasion and impact resistance
• 5-inch wide shield that guards against scrapes, scratches and scars
• Peel-and-stick installation with 3M marine adhesive: prep, peel and stick, with no cure time required
• Works on fiberglass and most aluminum hulls, and also adheres to treated wood
• Designed to avoid slowing your boat down
• Made in the USA
• Backed by a lifetime guarantee from the manufacturer

KeelShield is an easy do-it-yourself way to help prevent costly hull repairs and keep your boat looking good and holding its value. Check the manufacturer's compatibility notes before installing. For example, anti-fouling paint must be removed first, and the guard is not suited to pontoon boats or to trailers with weight-bearing rollers, bunks or pads that would contact the guard.
