Superwinch Tiger Shark Synthetic Rope Winch

The Superwinch Tiger Shark Synthetic Rope Winch series is a line of 12V DC electric recovery winches for trucks, SUVs and off-road vehicles. Each one pairs the Tiger Shark's heavy-duty construction with a strong, lightweight synthetic winch rope in place of traditional steel cable. Compared with steel wire rope, synthetic rope is lighter and easier to handle on the trail.

Key Features:

• Synthetic rope: The SR models use synthetic rope in place of steel cable, which saves weight.
• Synthetic-specific design: A thicker drum adds strength, and the brake sits at the end of the motor, away from the drum, to limit heat transfer to the rope.
• Planetary gear drive: A 3-stage planetary gear train delivers the pulling power.
• Sealed components: The series uses a sealed series-wound motor and weather-sealed solenoids to resist moisture and dirt.
• Automatic load-holding brake: The mechanical brake holds the load in place when the power is off.
• Freespool clutch: The ergonomic clutch lets you pay out rope quickly. (Clutch style varies by model.)
• Hardware: A heavy-duty, clevis-pinned, latched hook and an aluminum hawse fairlead come with the winch. Stainless steel tie bars and hardware add structural strength and corrosion resistance.
• Handheld remote: A wired handheld remote lets you operate the winch from a safe distance.

The Tiger Shark line comes from Superwinch, a long-established name in recovery winches. Tiger Shark synthetic rope winches suit recovery work, vehicle self-rescue and demanding off-road use. They are backed by Superwinch's limited mechanical and electrical warranty coverage.
