Camp Zinc Metric Shaft Collar Plated Anodes/Zincs

Camp Zinc Metric Shaft Collar Anodes are sacrificial zinc shaft anodes (also called shaft zincs or donut collar zincs). They protect metric-sized propeller shafts and the underwater metal parts attached to them from galvanic corrosion and electrolysis. The zinc corrodes in place of your shaft, propeller, struts and bearings. This makes them a basic part of boat maintenance for saltwater use.

Key Features:

• Marine-grade zinc: Made from zinc alloy that meets the MIL-A-18001 standard for marine anodes.
• Two-piece collar design: The collar clamps around the shaft, so you can install it without removing the shaft.
• Permanent electrical bond: A copper contact on each half deforms during installation and keeps a reliable connection to the shaft.
• Stainless steel hardware: Socket cap (Allen head) stainless screws let you apply proper torque, and the stainless nuts are pressed in so they cannot fall out.
• Retaining washers: Plastic retaining washers keep the screws from dropping out during installation.

Zinc anodes are meant for saltwater use. Anodes wear down over time, and cavitation can make them wear faster. Inspect them regularly and replace them when they are mostly consumed, so the shaft stays protected.
