Camp Zinc Pencil Anode with Bronze Plug Anodes/Zincs

Camp Zinc Pencil Anodes with Bronze Plug are sacrificial zinc anodes. They protect marine engines from galvanic corrosion and electrolysis. These engine pencil zincs are also called pencil anodes or engine zincs. They thread into a port on the raw seawater side of a heat exchanger or engine cooling system. There the zinc corrodes in place of the more valuable metal parts.

Key Features:

• Zinc construction: Zinc is the sacrificial material that protects the metal components in your cooling system.
• Bronze threaded plug: The plug has a tapered NPT thread for a secure installation.
• Replaceable pencil: When the zinc wears away, replace the pencil and screw it into the same bronze plug.
• Made in the USA: Camp Company manufactures its marine anodes in the US. They are made for recreational, commercial and military vessels.
• MIL-SPEC standards: Camp zinc anodes are listed as conforming to Mil-A-18001.

Cavitation makes anodes decay faster. Inspect them often and replace them on a regular schedule to keep the corrosion protection working. Choose the correct pencil size and plug thread for your engine or heat exchanger.
