Cal June Buoys Mooring Buoy with Tube

The Cal June Buoys Mooring Buoy with Tube is a premium Mark V hard shell mooring buoy built for permanent and seasonal moorings. Sometimes called a pendant buoy or mooring ball, it keeps your mooring chain or pendant line up at the surface where it is easy to find and pick up. The center tube lets the mooring chain run up through the buoy.

Key Features:

• Tough outer shell: A seamless, rock-hard shell made from durable marine-grade plastic stands up to the marine environment.
• Foam core: A high-density polyurethane foam core provides dependable flotation.
• Built-in tube: The chain passes through the inner tube to the top of the buoy. This keeps the mooring line dry and keeps the boat from touching mooring hardware.
• Blue identification band: A blue band around the buoy makes it easy to see on the water.
• Stable in the water: The buoy resists rolling over, so the mooring line stays out of the water.
• Easy to store and handle: The buoys stack when not in use, for example during winter pull-out. Lifting grips make them easier to handle.

Installation Notes: Choose chain that is about 1/2 inch smaller than the tube inner diameter. Chain length is normally about 1.5 times the water depth. Total chain weight should not exceed half of the buoy's rated buoyancy. A mooring collar is recommended and is typically sold separately.
