ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant

ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant is an engine assembly lube and fastener lubricant made to reduce tension pre-load scatter. It is meant to remove the need to cycle high-performance engine fasteners before final installation. It combines extreme-pressure lubricants with anti-seize characteristics, so it suits head studs, head bolts, main studs, connecting rod bolts and other critical threaded fasteners.

• Accurate first-pull pre-load: reaches 95%-100% of ARP's recommended installation pre-loads on the first pull, with no cycling before final installation.
• Consistent clamping load: keeps pre-loads within 5% across a group of fasteners. Examples are the deck surface of a cylinder block, the main web of a block, or across a connecting rod cap.
• Repeatable through every cycle: keeps installed pre-loads within 5% on later cycles. This helps hold bore and housing dimensions steady during machining, mock-up and final assembly.
• Anti-seize protection: helps prevent seizing and galling on threaded fasteners.
• Corrosion resistance: helps prevent rust and corrosion for the life of the lubricant.
• Better sealing: even pre-load across adjacent fasteners helps limit bore distortion and supports piston ring seal and head gasket sealing.

Ordinary oil, moly and other lubricants have inconsistent friction, which often means torquing, loosening and re-tightening a fastener several times to reach the right pre-load. ARP Ultra-Torque is formulated to give more repeatable fastener tension from the first torque cycle on.
