Shields Hose Shieldsflex II Series Marine Water/Exhaust with Wire Nylon Pipe & Hose Fittings

Shields Hose Shieldsflex II Series 250 is a wire-reinforced marine water and wet exhaust hose. It is also sold as marine exhaust hose, wet exhaust hose, or raw water hose. The hose is built for boat engine systems that need long runs or tight bends.

Key Features:

• Construction: black synthetic rubber tube and cover, with a wire helix embedded between plies of heavy-duty synthetic cord
• Chemical resistance: resists exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze and saltwater
• Permeation and abrasion resistance: helps keep exhaust gases and holding tank odors out of the surrounding areas
• Temperature range: -20°F to +200°F continuous, with intermittent exposure up to +250°F
• Standards: meets SAE J2006 Type R2 requirements

Common Applications:

• Engine water intake
• Wet exhaust connections that need bends or long lengths
• Bilge pump intake and discharge
• Scupper lines
• Toilet intake and discharge
• Holding tank vent and pump-out lines

The internal wire helix keeps the hose from kinking or collapsing on bends. That makes it a good choice for below-waterline plumbing and engine exhaust runs on boats.
