3M Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure Tube Caulks & Sealants

3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200 Fast Cure is a one-part, moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive sealant made for the marine market. Use it as a marine caulk, bedding compound or adhesive for permanent bonding and sealing, above and below the waterline. It forms a strong, watertight, weather-resistant seal. It bonds dissimilar materials, including wood, fiberglass, gelcoat, plastics and metals.

Key Features:

• Fast cure: forms a tack-free skin in about 1-2 hours and typically cures fully within 48 hours.
• Permanent, flexible bond: the tough elastomeric polyurethane absorbs stress from vibration, swelling, shrinking and shock.
• Multi-surface adhesion: bonds wood, fiberglass, gelcoat, plastics and metals.
• Marine durability: resists saltwater and weathering, above and below the waterline.
• Gap-filling formula: a one-component sealant that cures by reacting with moisture.

Typical Applications:

• Fiberglass deck-to-hull joints
• Through-hull fittings
• Portholes and deck hardware
• Rub rail attachment
• Screw holes and stanchion supports
• Motors on fiberglass transoms
• Under moldings and hull seams

This sealant is for permanent assembly. If you want a non-permanent bond, 3M suggests its Marine Adhesive Sealant 4200 instead. Backed by 3M's marine adhesive technology, it gives boat owners and marine professionals a durable sealing and bonding solution.
