Blue Ox Baseplate for Flat Towing Trailer Parts & Accessories

The Blue Ox baseplate (also called a base plate or tow bar bracket) is the vehicle-specific mounting point for flat towing, also known as dinghy towing. It bolts to the frame of the towed vehicle and gives your Blue Ox tow bar a solid attachment point behind your motorhome or RV.

Key Features:

• Custom-engineered for a precise fit on the specific vehicle it is made for
• Bolts to the chassis, often using existing attachment points, with no welding required
• Steel construction spreads towing forces and helps protect the vehicle's frame and suspension
• Flexing design absorbs shock and twisting on bumps and turns instead of passing rigid forces to the frame
• Tow bar connects with two pins for quick hookup
• Removable tabs on many applications keep the vehicle's appearance clean when you aren't towing
• Mounting hardware and installation instructions included
• Pairs with Blue Ox tow bars; tow bar adapters are available for a variety of bars

Blue Ox baseplates are built for strength and dependable towing. Combine one with a compatible tow bar, safety cables and a supplemental braking system to complete your flat towing setup.
