Martyr Anodes Streamlined Shaft Anode Anodes/Zincs

Martyr Anodes Streamlined Shaft Anodes are sacrificial marine anodes (often called shaft zincs) that protect a boat's propeller shaft and nearby underwater metal from galvanic corrosion. The anode corrodes in place of the metal parts around it. This helps prevent pitting, metal loss and expensive repairs.

Key Features:

• Streamlined, low-drag profile that fits closely around the shaft
• Interlocking halves with full shaft contact for a secure fit
• Stainless steel fasteners with lock washers and bolt-retaining washers that help keep the anode from falling off after installation
• Extra alloy around the fasteners so the anode stays attached as it wears
• Easy to install underwater, so the boat doesn't need to be hauled out
• Marine-grade alloy made to meet or exceed U.S. military specifications. Martyr uses a mil-spec alloy that erodes inward, which makes wear predictable and easy to check.

Replace the anode when it has eroded about 70%, so the shaft stays protected. Martyr's fastener design works with its ball-drive hex driver, which is sold separately. Several sizes and materials are available for different shaft diameters and water conditions, so choose the one that suits your boat and where you boat.
