Groco Series External Hull Strainer with Access Door Scoop & Round Strainers

The Groco APHS Series external hull strainer with access door is a scoop-style raw water intake strainer. It mounts over a thru-hull fitting and seacock inlet to keep debris out of your boat's cooling and raw water systems. A patented access door lets you reach the thru-hull opening directly, so you can clear marine growth and blockages without removing the whole strainer.

Key Features:

• Patented access door: gives access to the thru-hull fitting and seacock inlet beneath the strainer.
• Easy maintenance: you don't have to remove the entire strainer to clear nuisance marine growth.
• Cast bronze construction: C84400 bronze body and door for marine durability.
• Stainless steel filter screen: #304 stainless screen with perforations.
• Field-replaceable screen: you can swap the screen without special tools or a haul-out of the strainer body.
• Pressure relief holes: built into the door casting.

Use this strainer for raw water intakes where you want protection from debris and quick access to the thru-hull. It is not intended for potable water systems. Choose the specific part number for your thru-hull size.
