Camp Zinc Donut Collar

The Camp Zinc Donut Collar is a sacrificial zinc shaft anode. It protects propeller shafts and other oxidizable underwater metals from galvanic corrosion on boats used in saltwater. The donut (collar) shape clamps around the shaft. This makes it a good choice where there is limited clearance between the propeller and the hull, strut or bearing.

Key Features:

• Zinc anode that corrodes in place of the shaft and other metals exposed to seawater
• Donut collar design for shafts with limited space
• Copper contact for a permanent ground to the shaft
• Marine anodes in this category are made to MIL-SPEC standards (zinc: Mil-A-18001)
• Made in the USA

Installation Notes:

• Clamp the collar to a clean, unpainted area of bare metal on the shaft so it makes good electrical contact.
• Do not paint the anode.
• After installing a new anode, check propeller clearance before starting the engine.
• Inspect anodes often. Anodes exposed to cavitation wear out faster.

Replace worn shaft zincs on schedule to keep your shaft and underwater hardware protected. Camp donut collar zincs are also sold as shaft collar zincs and shaft anodes.
