Viega MegaPress 316 Stainless Steel FKM Press Cap

The Viega MegaPress 316 Stainless Steel FKM Press Cap (also called a pipe end cap or press-end cap) closes off the end of a stainless steel pipe run. It makes a secure press connection with no threading, welding or hot work. It is part of the Viega MegaPress Stainless 316 system, which is built for Schedule 5 to Schedule 40 stainless steel piping.

Key Features:

• 316 stainless steel construction resists corrosion and suits demanding environments.
• FKM sealing element is intended for hydronic systems, compressed air, industrial gases, marine applications and other approved uses.
• Internal grip ring and separator ring hold the joint securely. The grip ring is 420 stainless steel.
• Smart Connect technology makes unpressed connections easy to spot during pressure testing.
• Press connection is made with compatible press tools. It removes the need for threading or welding, and it avoids fire watches, hot work permits and gas freeing.
• Approved for underground installation. Viega recommends protecting the fitting and pipe with a suitable wrap or coating.

MegaPress 316 FKM fittings help cut labor time and system downtime on stainless piping projects. They are a practical choice for commercial, industrial and marine piping systems that need a reliable, leak-resistant end closure.
