Brass Fittings 316 Stainless Steel Coupling

The Brass Fittings 316 Stainless Steel Coupling is a threaded pipe coupling made from 316 stainless steel. It joins two male-threaded pipes or components in a straight line, or extends an existing threaded pipe run. It is also sold as a pipe coupler or straight coupling. The female pipe thread (FIPT) ends make it a simple way to connect male-threaded pipe nipples and fittings.

Key Features:

• 316 stainless steel construction: 316 is an austenitic stainless steel that contains molybdenum. This gives it better resistance to corrosion and chlorides than 304, so it is often chosen for marine, chemical and other harsh environments.
• Female threaded (FIPT) ends: Internal pipe threads make a secure, leak-resistant connection with male-threaded pipe or fittings.
• Straight, in-line design: The coupling connects two pipe ends along the same axis without changing flow direction.
• Durable and rust resistant: The material holds up in water, fluid-handling and general plumbing applications, and in boat and marine plumbing.
• Multiple sizes available: Choose the size that matches your piping.

Use this coupling where a corrosion-resistant threaded joint is needed. Typical uses include marine and boat plumbing, water and fluid transfer lines, and industrial or general plumbing. Use a thread sealant or PTFE tape suited to your fluid on the male threads for best sealing.
