Ancor Heavy Wall Heat Shrink Tubing

Ancor Heavy Wall Heat Shrink Tubing is adhesive-lined, marine grade heat shrink tubing. It insulates and protects battery cable and other heavy-gauge wire connections. It is also sold as adhesive lined heat shrink battery cable tubing. It helps guard terminations against mechanical abuse, wire pullout and abrasion on boats, vehicles and other equipment.

Key Features:

• Adhesive lining: The heat-activated adhesive melts and flows as the tubing shrinks. It forms a seal that resists salt water, oil, gasoline, acids and other contaminants.
• Cross-linked polyolefin construction: It is much stronger than PVC tubing and does not burn like PVC.
• Heavy wall design: It gives added strain relief and durability on large-gauge cable connections.
• 3:1 shrink ratio: The tubing shrinks to one-third of its original diameter. One tubing size can cover a wider range of wire and terminal sizes.
• Shrink temperature: It shrinks at 257°F (125°C).
• Operating temperature range: -40°C to 110°C (-40°F to 230°F).
• Certification: UL 224.

Use a heat gun to shrink the tubing evenly over the connection until the adhesive flows out at the ends. The result is a sealed, durable, long-lasting insulated connection for marine and automotive wiring.
