AP Gas Spring

The AP Gas Spring line offers gas-charged lift supports, also called gas struts or gas props. They help lift, hold open and control the movement of hatches, lids, access doors and compartment covers. Each unit is a sealed gas-charged cylinder with a piston rod. It gives smooth, assisted motion and holds the load in the open position.

Key Features:

• Gas-charged cylinder and piston rod design for controlled, assisted lifting
• Holds lids, doors and hatches open without a separate prop rod
• Reduces the effort needed to raise heavy panels and slows their descent when closing
• End fittings are built for mounting at both ends
• Offered in a range of lengths and force ratings to suit different applications

Typical uses include storage bays, tool boxes, hatches, access panels and other covers on RV, marine, trailer and automotive equipment. Choose the variant whose length and force rating match your application.
