Camp Zinc Plated Shaft Collar

The Camp Zinc shaft collar (also called a barrel collar shaft zinc or shaft anode) is a sacrificial anode that protects your boat's propeller shaft, propeller, struts and bearings from galvanic corrosion and underwater electrolysis. The zinc corrodes in place of the more valuable metal parts, so those parts last longer.

• Sacrificial zinc construction: Provides cathodic protection for submerged metal components. Zinc anodes are the right choice for saltwater use.
• Mil-spec zinc: Marine zinc anodes conform to the MIL-A-18001 standard.

Installation and Care: After installing a new anode, check propeller clearance before starting the engine. Do not paint the anode, because paint stops it from working. Inspect anodes often. Anodes in areas of cavitation wear out faster.
