REDARC Smart Battery Isolator

The REDARC Smart Battery Isolator line (also called a dual battery isolator or smart solenoid) manages charging in dual battery systems. The Smart Start range is microprocessor controlled. It protects the start battery from excessive discharge. It also lets the auxiliary battery supply power to non-essential loads such as accessories.

Key Features:

• Microprocessor-controlled solenoid isolation keeps the start and auxiliary batteries separate when needed, so the vehicle can still start.
• Power saving technology uses the alternator to charge the auxiliary battery. It avoids the voltage drop of a diode-type isolator.
• Fault detection with LED indication warns of conditions such as over-voltage, voltage drop and excessive current draw.
• Surge protection and transient suppression electronics stop the solenoid from generating high-voltage transients.
• Overmould design and silver contacts give durability and longer contact life. They are also suited to marine applications.
• Compact construction makes installation easier in vehicles, 4WDs, commercial vehicles and boats.

REDARC is known for engineering dependable power management electronics. Choose a model from this line to charge an auxiliary battery safely and keep the starting battery protected. Additional parts such as fuses and cabling may be needed to complete an installation.
