Viega MegaPress 316 Stainless Steel FKM MPT Adapter

The Viega MegaPress 316 Stainless Steel FKM MPT Adapter is a press-to-male-pipe-thread adapter. It connects a pressed stainless steel piping system to threaded (MNPT) components such as valves, gauges, and equipment. It belongs to the MegaPress 316 FKM line, which Viega describes as its first stainless press fittings for Schedule 5 to Schedule 40 piping systems.

Key Features:

• 316 stainless steel construction resists corrosion. It is suited to marine, hydronic, compressed air, and industrial gas applications.
• Press x male pipe thread (MPT) connection lets you transition from a press joint to a threaded fitting.
• FKM sealing element is paired with a stainless grip ring and separator ring.
• Press connection eliminates threading and welding on the pressed side of the joint. It also avoids fire watches, hot work permits, and gas freeing.
• Compatible with existing press tools. Larger sizes use MegaPress XL rings with a PressBooster actuator.
• NSF-61 potable water rating applies to 316 stainless.
• Smart Connect technology helps identify unpressed connections.

This adapter suits installers who want fast, consistent press connections on stainless pipe without welding or threading. It has a Viega limited written warranty.
