The NGK 2707 Iridium IX spark plug (BR9ECMIX) is built for performance enthusiasts and for modified or high-output engines. It can also replace a standard nickel-alloy plug as an upgrade. The iridium center electrode gives strong ignitability, quicker throttle response and good anti-fouling performance. NGK is a major OE spark plug supplier with more than 80 years of experience.

  • Fine-wire iridium tip: The 0.6 mm laser-welded iridium center electrode gives a stable spark and long service life.
  • Iridium alloy electrode: Iridium is very dense and has an extremely high melting point. This helps it resist heat and electrical wear in modern high-efficiency engines.
  • Tapered cut ground electrode: The reduced-quenching design improves starting, idling, throttle response, acceleration and fuel efficiency.
  • Solid copper core: The core offers good heat dissipation and conductivity across a wide heat range.
  • Trivalent metal plating: The plating resists corrosion and seizing, so the plug installs and removes more easily.
  • Sealing: A longer insulator nose, corrugated insulator ribs and a triple gasket seal help prevent combustion gas leakage.
