Product Details

VHT DAP1690 Self-Etching Primer is a professional-grade base coat designed to provide superior adhesion on bare metal, aluminum, and fiberglass surfaces. This self-etching formula chemically bonds to the substrate, creating an ideal foundation for topcoats while preventing corrosion and paint failure.

Key Features:

 • Self-etching formula eliminates the need for separate etching steps
 • Bonds to bare metal, aluminum, and fiberglass surfaces
 • Provides excellent corrosion resistance and paint adhesion
 • Fast-drying aerosol formula for easy application
 • 12-ounce aerosol can with convenient spray nozzle
 • Ideal for automotive, marine, and industrial applications

This primer is essential for any paint project involving raw metal or aluminum surfaces, ensuring proper adhesion and long-lasting protection. The self-etching properties create a chemical bond with the substrate, making it particularly effective on smooth metals that are difficult to coat with standard primers.

It is nice to make deal with. Good price and fast shipping.

Borgeson 000940

I found Autoplicity during a price search on the Borgeson steering shaft for my truck. I had never heard of them, and was a bit skepticle. But after doing some research, found that Autoplicity has a good reputation on a Jeep forum I visit.

I decided to order, and I am impresed. Extremely fast shipping, I placed my order on Saturday, and its now Monday before noon. I am holding the new part!

Great products and great pricing. Fast shipping. Couldn't ask for anything more. A++++++ merchant. Hope to do business with again.

Quick and easy. Beat all other prices.I'd definitely use them again.

Great prices on a great product. Easy to navigate website! will be using them in the future for any additional parts I may need!

Autoplicity had the lowest online price for the product I wanted. Being a new product, the listing did not have a shipping weight so the shipping could not be calculated. Had to call customer service to complete the order, but they were eager to help out and seemed to be based in North America. Shipping ended up being higher than expected, but it did arrive in two days via ground. The item was well packed/sealed in a reused box. Overall, a positive experience and quick order processing.

I placed an order 12/5/11 and recieved my order before 10am the following day. Very fast, very easy to use and the best prices I've found on line.
