This proprietary Blue Ox breakaway switch is specifically engineered to work with Patriot braking systems. When the towing mechanism breaks away, the pin is pulled from the switch, completing the electrical circuit and activating the towed vehicle's brakes. The switch mounts to the front of the towed vehicle and connects via the included cable and lanyard to the motorhome.

Vehicle data base needs some updating. Your online program says that these won't fit my car, but when I cross the Volvo OEM number it comes out to this Bilstein Part Number. I own a 2012 Volvo XC70 T6. Otherwise very easy to go through and order.
