Starbrite Glass Cleaners

Star Brite Glass Cleaners: Engineered for the Toughest Conditions at Sea

When salt spray, UV rays, and relentless moisture are working against you, ordinary glass cleaners simply aren't built for the job. Star Brite has spent more than 50 years developing appearance, maintenance, and performance chemicals for the marine world, and their glass cleaner lineup reflects that deep expertise. These aren't generic household sprays — they're purpose-built formulas designed to maintain crystal-clear visibility on windshields, clear plastic enclosures, electronics screens, and every transparent surface that matters on the water.

Two Specialized Products, One Clear Purpose

Star Brite's glass cleaner category centers on two standout products, each engineered for a distinct marine cleaning challenge.

• Ultimate View Guard Clear Plastic Treatment: View Guard is a wet-weather visibility enhancer specifically formulated for clear plastic enclosures such as Strataglass, EZ2CY, and Eisinglass. Specially designed surfactants safely remove dirt and grit, while advanced polymers repel rain, spray, and salt to provide maximum visibility, even in heavy weather conditions. The formula also repels water, spray, salt, and dirt while providing protection against damaging UV rays. View Guard provides a barrier against damaging UV rays that can cause clear plastic to crack and turn yellow.
• Screen Cleaner & Protectant with PTEF: Star Brite Screen Cleaner and Protectant with PTEF is safe for use on all marine electronics and all plastics, featuring an easy spray-on, wipe-off formula that removes fingerprints, smudges, and salt deposits — while PTEF polymers guard against UV damage. Its advanced formula bonds to plastic and glass surfaces, repelling moisture while ensuring touchscreens remain responsive — ideal for safeguarding fishfinders, watertight phone cases, and motorcycle visors.

Why Star Brite's Approach to Glass Cleaning Stands Apart

Star Brite is a leading manufacturer of appearance, maintenance, and performance chemicals and accessories, serving the marine, RV, automotive, powersports, hardware, and home care industries for over 50 years. That breadth of experience shapes every formula they produce. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all cleaner, Star Brite addresses the specific demands of different transparent surfaces — soft clear plastics, hardened glass, and sensitive electronics screens each get their own tailored solution.

Star Brite describes its eco-friendly formulations as products designed to clean and protect without harming marine ecosystems. For boaters who are mindful of the water they operate in, this commitment to environmentally responsible chemistry adds another layer of confidence when reaching for the bottle.

Manufactured at Kinpak in Alabama, Star Brite has spent fifty years producing waxes, polishes, cleaners, and additives at their own plant on the Alabama River — a testament to quality control that retailers and boaters alike have come to rely on.

Choosing the Right Star Brite Glass Cleaner

For soft clear plastic enclosures — dodger windows, isinglass curtains, Strataglass panels — the View Guard is the go-to choice. Its polymer-based protection actively sheds water and spray so your visibility isn't compromised when conditions deteriorate. For chart plotters, multifunction displays, smartphones, and tablet screens aboard, the Screen Cleaner & Protectant with PTEF delivers streak-free results without compromising touchscreen sensitivity. For yellowed, hazed, or lightly scratched clear plastic enclosures, Star Brite recommends applying their Clear Plastic Restorer before using Ultimate View Guard to achieve the best possible finish.
