The FV-590 (brass) is recommended for fiberglass tanks, while the FV-590-S in 316 stainless steel is designed for use with aluminum or stainless steel tanks. The FV-590-S features a compact design with a 90° flow path and 1/2" NPT male and female ports — making it a clean, low-profile solution for common tank outlet applications.

FV 6-Port Series: Dual-Tank Engine Installations

For more complex fuel system configurations, Groco's FV 6-Port Series is the go-to choice. Six-port fuel valves are used where two tanks supply a single engine, and a return to each supply tank is required. These valves are built with C84400 bronze construction and are offered in two flow pattern variants: FV-65038 and FV-61075 have an “L” shaped flow pattern with 180-degree handle swing, while the “-A” variants feature a “T” shaped flow pattern with 360-degree handle actuation. This flexibility allows installers to tailor the valve behavior precisely to the plumbing layout.
