Product Details

VHT SP109 FlameProof Coating in Flat Red is a professional-grade, high-temperature ceramic coating designed to protect surfaces exposed to extreme heat. This silicone ceramic-based coating is widely used in automotive exhaust systems, headers, manifolds, and aerospace applications where exceptional heat resistance is required.

Key Features:

  • Withstands temperatures up to 2000?F (1093?C) when properly cured
  • Matte finish silicone ceramic formulation provides superior heat resistance
  • Extends the life of exhaust systems, headers, and high-heat components
  • Part of VHT's three-stage coating system (primer, color coat, clear coat)
  • 11 oz aerosol can for easy application
  • Flat red finish ideal for performance and custom applications

Curing Process:

VHT FlameProof Coating requires proper curing to achieve its maximum heat resistance. On-vehicle curing: idle for 10 minutes, cool 20 minutes, idle 20 minutes, cool 20 minutes, then run at normal operating temperature for 30 minutes. Off-vehicle curing: heat to 250?F for 30 minutes, cool 30 minutes, heat to 400?F for 30 minutes, cool 30 minutes, heat to 650?F for 30 minutes. Complete curing instructions are included on each can.

For optimal results and maximum durability, use VHT SP109 as part of the complete three-stage system with VHT FlameProof primer and clear coat. This coating is trusted by automotive and aerospace professionals for the ultimate protection in extreme temperature environments.
