The AFI 117A is a marine shore power pigtail adapter designed to connect a 30-amp dock pedestal to a boat equipped with a 50-amp inlet. This adapter features a dock-side male 30A 125V locking plug and a boat-side female 50A 125/250V locking connector, allowing boaters to access 30-amp shore power when 50-amp service is unavailable.
