Product Details

The Awlgrip D9001Q Awlquick Converter is a two-component epoxy primer/surfacer converter designed for use with D8003 Awlquick base to create a fast-drying, medium-build primer system. This professional-grade converter delivers excellent adhesion properties for wood, fiberglass, and metal substrates.

Key Features:

  • Easy application by brush, roller, or conventional spray
  • Quick-drying formula with easily sanded finish
  • Medium build coverage of 2-3 mils dry film thickness
  • 8-hour pot life at 77°F with 50% relative humidity
  • Ideal for applications where high build and filling is required

Mixing Instructions:

  • For spray application: Mix 1 part D8003 Base with 1 part D9001 Converter by volume
  • Can be reduced up to 50% with T0006 Spray Reducer or T0031 Brushing Reducer
  • Recoat time: 4 hours between spray coats, 12-14 hours for brush/roller application

This converter is for above-waterline use only and must not be applied below the waterline. Compatible with Awlgrip/Awlcraft 2000 topcoats and 545 Epoxy Primer systems. Apply only when ambient temperatures are between 55°F and 105°F.

I am so pleased! Autoplicity had the best price by far for the item I ordered. I was not familiar with them so having the Paypal option was perfect.
