C. Sherman Johnson 462501 Anchor Chain Stopper for 5/16" Chain

The C. Sherman Johnson 462501 is a single-hook anchor chain tensioner designed specifically for 5/16" anchor chain. This marine-grade fitting securely tensions and holds your anchor in the bow roller channel, freeing up your bow cleat for other uses while keeping the anchor properly secured in sea conditions.

Key Features:

• Single-hook design with 12" overall length for secure chain retention
• Threaded hook provides 1-1/2" of adjustment for easy installation and proper tension
• Fits standard 5/16" anchor chain
• Frees bow cleat for docking and other line handling tasks
• Keeps anchor secured in bow roller during rough sea conditions
• Constructed from corrosion-resistant marine materials

Important Note: This chain stopper is designed to secure the anchor during transit and normal conditions. It is not intended to take the primary strain of the rode while the boat is anchored. Always ensure your anchor rode is properly secured to a bow cleat or other primary attachment point when at anchor.

Ideal for powerboats and sailboats looking to improve anchor management and deck organization while underway.
