Product Details

The CDI Electronics 183-0001 is a replacement ignition coil designed for Johnson and Evinrude outboard engines ranging from 4 HP to 300 HP. This coil is responsible for generating the electrical spark needed to ignite the fuel mixture in your engine, making it a critical component of your outboard's ignition system.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for Johnson/Evinrude OEM part number 0777661
  • Also replaces part numbers 582508, 584561, 582382, 502884, 502882, and 502688
  • Compatible with a wide range of Johnson/Evinrude outboard horsepower ratings from 4 HP to 300 HP
  • Redesigned coil with ground wire removed and replaced with a metal grounding tab on the mounting screw hole
  • Fits 1-cylinder through 8-cylinder engine configurations (V4, V6, V8)
  • Manufactured by CDI Electronics to meet OEM specifications

This ignition coil is sold as a coil only without spark plug wires. When used as part of the 183-2508 ignition coil kit, it includes a 9.75-inch spark plug wire. The 183-0001 represents the coil-only component and is compatible with Sierra 18-5179 and Mallory 9-23107 applications.

All went well.

Only issue I had was that order could not be completed on Amazon, stating "items cannot ship to your location." I simply went to your website and ordered items. So a little inconvenient, but no biggie.
